CultivO2 P1, it is a climate change mitigation initiative that reduces and removes greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the implementation of low-carbon productive systems (such as cacao, cashew, and timber), aiming to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, above- and below-ground carbon storage, and clean water management in prioritized areas. CultivO2 supports the economic, social, and environmental well-being of farming families by providing financial benefits from the sale of carbon certificates. The initiative began in 2017 and aims to link 20,000 hectares of private land by 2036.
