The Quintero Téllez family is a passionate about sustainable agriculture, has dedicated its time and resources to develop agricultural practices respectful of the environment in its property, the cabin. With 1.45 hectares of forest and 4.5 hectares for cocoa cultivation under the cultivation project2, this farm has served as the perfect scenario to develop a solid agricultural plan based on the principles of permaculture. The continuous commitment of Quintero Téllez reflects its determination in integrating sustainable production and low environmental impact models, which not only contributes to the conservation of biodiversity, but also consolidates the La Cabaña property as a reference in conservation agriculture.

CultivO2 P1, it is a climate change mitigation initiative that reduces and removes greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the implementation of low-carbon productive systems (such as cacao, cashew, and timber), aiming to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, above- and below-ground carbon storage, and clean water management in prioritized areas. CultivO2 supports the economic, social, and environmental well-being of farming families by providing financial benefits from the sale of carbon certificates. The initiative began in 2017 and aims to link 20,000 hectares of private land by 2036.
