Paramuno P1, It is a climate change mitigation project aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the conservation of forests and páramos in the Colombian Andes. The project addresses the degradation of high mountain ecosystems caused by increased demand for water and resources, climate change, tourism, mining, and agricultural expansion. It supports sustainable transitions in these ecosystems by providing economic incentives for conservation and strengthening local governance. A key strategy is the sale of carbon credits to combat deforestation and land-use change. The Paramuno P1 Project also aims to support Sustainable Development Goals 6, 13, and 15, focusing on clean water, climate action, and life on land. It aspires to achieve the Orchid category, signifying its commitment to long-term social and environmental benefits.
